Tater Tot Spot

This afternoon we got together with some good friends of ours for some Sunday fun. Jill and Erin went on to the Nutcracker Market to do some shopping, while Justin and I took our kids to the Children's Museum.

First, Audrey and Ethan played in the Tot Spot with some sensory-stimulating exhibits.

Ethan found a section where he got to play with switches to see all kinds of colored lights.

Next we crawled down a little walkway to look at the other kids playing.

But by far Ethan's favorit place was the bubble tower. This was a column of water with a constant stream of bubbles flying up it. There was a series of buttons at the bottom where Ethan could change the color of the bubbles or even turn them on or off!

Elsewhere in the farming exhibit we got to see some baby chicks!

Finally, Ethan and Audrey posed in the Gullah exhibit with some fishing gear. Exciting!

It was such a fun afternoon that Ethan slept through our trip to the ice cream parlor (that was Audrey's idea).

In response to the picture of Ethan with the column of bubbles:
"Sharkbait, ooo ha ha!"

And Ethan doesn't look that thrilled to be holding a fishing net. :-)
