Home on the Range

This week we are up in McKinney with Nonnie, Poppy, Auntie, and Mawmaw getting ready for Auntie's graduation on Friday. Yesterday we went out to Texana to see the horses, play, and to get some work done.

First, Ethan helped me and Poppy trim the trees in the front:

Then it was time for some work in the shade putting together a trailer for the mower. The wind was really blowing, so Ethan sat down on the parts that were likely to blow away:

Once the little trailer was put together, we hooked it up to the tractor and MawMaw drove it around with Ethan and Mommy in the back. Ethan loved it - after all, a wagon is a wagon whether it is motorized or parent-pulled.

Ethan had so much fun, that he wanted to do a little driving himself. Note the one-handed driving technique.

Then before we left, we headed out to feed the horses a few treats and leftover watermelon.

We got a lot of hard work done! So to end the day, we had a deep-fried smorgasbord at
Babes in Sanger, TX - Yummy! Here's Ethan digesting his chicken strips and mashed potatoes...
