Like tonight, Ethan wanted to play some baseball. The funny thing is, he saw a pair of my work gloves on the patio and wanted to use them as his "baseball gloves." Needless to say, they kind of hindered his swing...
Over the weekend we went to the park and Ethan ran around and did a lot of sliding. We even went on a long walk to see some horses. Though, Ethan didn't actually walk on the way back (he rode on Daddy's shoulders).
Ethan also spends some time in the back yard "fixing" his swingset. He takes his kiddie hammer and whacks some pretend nails into place. All this started a while back with Ethan watching me secure a few nails. Since then, he is a handyman in training.
More recently, Ethan got into his sandbox (only because Daddy took two months to eventually getting around to buying some sand). No tutorial was necessary - he dove right in!
But with all of the play, the little dude needs time to rest. How? By watching Elmo, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (a recent discovery), or basketball (very plentiful). And when it comes to watching TV, Ethan found that his Elmo chair is his virtual recliner...
