When someone asks what Ethan is doing now, I reply by quoting Shakespeare: "Words, words, words...." (Hamlet 2.2.192).
Well, parts of words, at least. He has recently added to his vocabulary of raspberries and cries the syllables "Ba" and "Ma" (Jill's current favorite).
He doesn't exactly do them on command just yet. For example, we will be simply driving in the car or playing on the floor and he will start belting out, "Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma....". It's really cool to hear him start these words, especially since he is one syllable away from saying "Ba-ha-mas".
Jill promised that as soon as he says it, we can go!!
We are working on getting video documentation of the monosyllabic wordsmith, so keep your eyes open!
