Baking and Decorating

We spent Sunday morning (before church) baking sugar cookies and decorating them. Ethan actually prefered tasting the cookies before shaking the sprinkles on.

We spent the afternoon with our gingerbread decorating gang. It was our fourth annual Gingerbread House Building Extravaganza! Actually, we built a church this year, including a nativity made from Peeps. Our church was so impressive that we won the first annual golden statue of Jesus.

UPDATE: On Tuesday night we made some peppermint bark. Ethan did some quality control tasting. Hey, the goodies are for his teachers and he wants to keep them out of harm's way.

Maybe it's just me, but something just seems wrong about having a golden statue of Jesus. If a golden calf got the Israelites in trouble, I can't imagine what kind a trouble a golden Jesus could cause.
