Valentine's Weekend

--------------------------------------------------------------
Editor's Note: This photo-heavy Valentine's weekend post has the honor of being our 300th blog post! Woohoo! We hope you have enjoyed reading this blog as we have enjoyed writing. Stay tuned for even more this year! Like more exclamation points!!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

This past weekend Ethan was over with Grandma and Grandpa and boy, did they have a good time. It included a trip to Bass Pro to see all of the cool toys. Ethan found a dog statue and was quick to say "cheese" with the camera out:

Ethan and GM also found a massive catfish in the aquarium:

Saturday night was a trip out to Sugar Land Town Center where they were doing carriage rides:

Thankfully, Sunday was nice and sunny so Ethan could play with the stomp rocket...

...and practice his golf swing!

But while Ethan was away, we had a chance to play and get some work done!
Friday night we took dance lessons at Cypress Dance. We learned the fox trot and are anxious to practice some more (the picture just doesn't do justice to how great we were).

Saturday evening we cooked a dinner that we had on our first valentine's dinner 8 years ago, which included these faux pound cake fries and raspberry ketchup.

But we also got some extra work done around the house, too! Saturday morning we painted our kitchen. Here's the before...

...and here's the "after"!

Even though we were very productive, we couldn't wait to see our little dude - the house was WAY too quiet!

I love the paint color. Green is one of my favorite colors.
