He played basketball...
...drove some cars...
...and played Skee Ball! Though he really hit his stride when he started throwing the balls over-handed!
We capped the birthday evening with a little cake and presents:
Then Sunday was the day of the big party. The theme was none other than Ethan's favorite show/band: the Imagination Movers! He had his Mover cakes:
and a sign on the front door from Warehouse Mouse!
Since the Movers like to "jump up, get down, stand up, and turn around," we got a moonwalk for the backyard. Ethan and his friends had an awesome time, even though it was in the 40's outside!
And when it got a little too cool, we had things inside for everyone to do such as coloring some Imagination Mover coloring pages. That is, if CC and Alex woud let them....
Then it was time to sing "Happy Birthday" and blow out the candles - all three of them:
Ethan had plenty of help opening presents too. It was a little mob that followed him around the living room as he got to each gift:
What a great birthday party! We were all exhausted, and E really enjoyed it. It wasn't long until he wanted to open all his gifts to start playing. One of the first was some more tools - now he can help put other stuff together!
Happy Birthday, Son!

So sad that the Junod boys missed the party!! They LOVE LOVE LOVE the Movers too!! We might just have to steal that idea for Barrett. We're pretty lost over here with ideas for birthdays. No supplies! Looks like yall had lots of fun!! I can't believe he's 3!
What a fantastic weekend! Happy birthday Ethan, what a big boy you are!! Love you!
