One Year Updates

This past Friday we took Ethan to the doctor for his one-year checkup. This doctor's visit was especially unpleasant. We waited over an hour before seeing the nurse and Ethan ended up getting 4 shots (though I think that Ethan got the sour end of this deal).

But here are his latest stats:

• 29.75 inches long (in the 50th percentile for his age)
• 22.5 pounds (in the 50th percentile)
• 48 cm head diameter (in the 90th percentile)

So he's average for hight and weight, but apparently his being a super-genius puts him higher on the head-size. The doctor said that everything looked great.

And some other really cool changes happen at one year. The main ones include...

...changing the carseat from rear-facing...

...to forward facing:

And switching from formula...

...to whole milk! (milk is so much cheaper, it's like getting a raise!)

And we'll also be using these bottles less...

...and woking on getting the sippy-cup some use!
