Wild Blue Yonder

Boy, we had a busy weekend! A big chunk of Saturday was spent out at the Wings Over Houston airshow. Grandpa is one of the big-wigs to help plan and pull the whole thing off, so he was able to get us some great seats.

Ethan loves airplanes and was always pointing them out:

In the hospitality tent they had all the soda and water we could drink, and Ethan loved it (and the ice too):

They also had some good snacks to munch on while we watched the show. Ethan loved his orange popcicle:

But the planes were the main star of the show. Here's Ethan and Grandpa in front of the A-10 Thunderbold "Warthog":

The planes got a bit loud at times and we had to cover his ears. Thankfully, by the time the Thunderbirds flew, Ethan let us put the ear protectors on him (better than just putting our hands over his ears).

And since Grandpa knew some people, we got pictures with some of the performers. Here's Grandpa and Ethan with Sean D. Tucker, an awesome aerobatic stunt pilot:

And here we are with Julie Clark, another aerobatics pilot. Jill asked here how long she's been flying, and she said "over 30 years"!

It was a great time and Ethan had a blast. We can't wait to go back next year!
