Up in the Air

Last Saturday, we went out to the Wings Over Houston airshow. The weather was perfect, the planes were flying and we had a great time!


This is one of Grandpa's favorite things, so he pulled out all the stops for us. First, he took us to go some of the P-51's of The Horsemen Aerobatic Team. Here is us with Double Trouble:





And they were happy to have a new fan in the fold, so they gave Ethan his own Horsemen t-shirt and cap:

And there were tons of other things to do at the airshow, too. For example, Grandpa took Ethan to play over at the Lego Experience exhibit where Ethan got to play with trains for a few minutes. This was quite appropriate, given what Ethan was going to be for Halloween!

Then, Grandpa took us over to meet Mike Goulian, one of the stunt performers. His stuff was really neat and face-paced. No wonder his hair stands straight up!

And with our awesome seats, we got to see many of the planes up close and personal:

and the food was pretty good too! Ethan did a great job of wearing his hat, sunglasses, and ear protection:

The only thing he really got nervous about was all the pyro and explosions. When those went off, he wanted to watch from a distance and usually while somone was holding him:
