We started out Sunday night with a pot luck block party to get some regular food in our systems before OD-ing on the candy. There was a little taste of everything - from chicken nuggets and mack and cheese for the kids, to soup, chilli, pasta, and ribs for the grown-ups. What a turn out!
Before hitting the streets to visit the neighbors, we posed for some pictures. First, we did a family picture for Kinley's first Halloween. Her brother loved his Spider-man costume!

Then we got all of the kids together to do one big group picture!

Then it was off trick-or-treating! Grandpa was on hand to make sure we had some tricks. While we went out with our little crew of boys, Grandpa volunteered to hand out the candy...

It was hilarious watching Ethan this year. He was always at the head of the pack, leading his friends to the next house for candy. And to make us look good, he was sure to say "thank you" to all the neighbors. Then after about an hour of candy-hunting, the bags were full and it was time to head home.
