After a week-long recovery from Kinley-palooza 2011, we're finally getting around to posting pictures. First, thanks to everyone for coming out and helping us celebrate Kinley's first year with us. Everyone did their part to contribute. First, Mommy made a birthday banner that hung in the living room:
And I made the birthday cake. To help fit the ladybug theme from the party, I made "Dirt Cake." Making this reminded me of when I made Ethan's first birthday cake. Good times!
We had the cake sitting out in the kitchen for the entire party, and no one realized that it was the dessert. Ha Ha!
For the first part of the party, all of the kids played out in the backyard in the water. We had a home-made splash pad, a home-made water slide, and home-made water balloons. Add in some uncles with water guns, and we had wonderful water chaos! Kinley (with her cute little ladybug bikini) enjoyed it all.

Before everyone got too sunburned, we dried off and came inside for cake and presents. We gave Kin her very own little cupcake to devour/smear all over herself:
She loved it. And a lot of it actually made it into her mouth!
I really think Ethan thought she was going to get some cake on him...
After a quick sink-bath, Kinley got on her ladybug dress and got down to real business: opening presents!!
Kinley loved celebrating her birthday with lots of friends. Here, we're posing with precious little Piper and her mommy:
and we also caught Bayleigh with her mommy Tina for a quick birthday picture. Both girls looked so cute in their ladybug wear!
We were tired afterwards, but it was an absolute blast!
Kinley enjoyed all of her presents and can't wait to play with all her new toys! Thanks again!
