As the state flower of Texas, it is every Texan's duty to drive out to the country and pull over on the side of the road to climb into a pile of wildflowers and take pictures.
After going antiquing (is that a real word?) on Sunday with GM, GP and Uncle Kevin, we went to Creeekbend to check out the bluebonnets. Jill and I had helped plant these a couple of years ago, so it was really cool to see the fruits (or flowers) of our labor!
Looking at the beautiful blooms, our first thought was to lay Ethan down in them and take a picture (naturally!). Thankfully he didn't object too much - he just asked for some pillows to avoid the hard ground.
And here we are in our bluebonnets!
So if you are in Texas, make sure you hit the road in the next few weeks so you can enjoy all the flowers!
