This evening we headed out to a pumpkin patch sponsored by a local Methodist church (I know we're not Methodist, but the Baptists don't do this thing...).
Now they didn't actually grow the pumpkins - instead, they had a lot of pumpkins out in the grass surrounded by hay bales, scarecrows, and assorted gourdes.
They must get a lot of kids because this creative display was prominently positioned in the center of the patch:
This scenario just screamed "Kodak moment," so out comes the camera!
We eventually picked our our pumpkin, so here in another couple of weeks we'll be making our Jack-o-lantern!

Must be a Methodist tradition... we'll be doing the same thing at a local Methodist church next week. Was John Wesley a pumpkin farmer?
