A Change of Paste

Today Ethan had his two-week doctor's appointment. No shots this time, but they drew some blood from his right foot, so he won't be walking for a little while.

His weight is up to 8lbs, 8oz and he is good and healthy!

But the doc advised us to go ahead and start using material to prevent a diaper rash. This means those three magic words: Boudreaux's Butt Paste!

Yes, it's a real product and more than a few people have suggested we use it. I wasn't sure what to expect when I squeezed this substance on my fingers. It's a sand-colored paste with the consistency of plumber's putty (but with a different purpose). It went on smooth enough, and cleans up easy - though spreading it all over your newborn's diaper area takes some getting used to.

Ethan thinks it takes some getting used to as well....

Jill, Your little Ethan is adorable! You seem to be doing well being a new mommy. This is such an exciting time for you, and Brad! Enjoy every moment.....am sure you already realize how quickly they go by.

God bless you!

It looks like you said "Time for the Butt Paste", and Ethan turned his head quickly and was all "Huh?!?".
