So much has changed in the last four years - We've moved to a new house, took a trip to Hawaii, went to a few airshows, started pre-school, had our first year playing soccer, and added a little sister to the mix.
Happy birthday, son! You're our favorite little boy in the whole world and we love you!
Because we want to remember all of our favorite things about you, we're going to share them to help preserve our sleep deprived memories:
-You love eating pancakes every Saturday morning and prefer for yours to be your name spelled out. Ketchup is your favorite addition to chicken nuggets and french fries.
-You love, love, love to dance. Even your teachers talk about you busting a move in class.
-You would play outside all day if we'd let you. The humidity of Houston summers doesn't even faze you.
-Watching and playing sports is your passion. When you did your "thankful turkey" for Thanksgiving, you were thankful for playing soccer and to sign up to play t-ball this spring. Don't worry, baby, we're signing you up as soon as they'll let us. (We can't wait to start games the end of April!)
-Right now, your favorite tv show is Super Hero Squad, hence the theme you picked for your birthday party. Your favorite movie is Toy Story 3. Your favorite book to read at night is either a Curious George book or Berenstain Bears go out for the Team.
-You've just started playing with Legos and you love that you now have the ones with "little, bitty pieces."
-You love helping us cook or bake in the kitchen. You want to measure everything out, lock the blender, and turn it on. Sometimes we end up with flour everywhere, but "that's okay."
-Daddy's iPhone is great to occupy you when we're needing a little entertainment. You're awesome at Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Fall Down, and Toy Story Memory. We haven't taught you to play these games, you taught yourself. You even managed to create a password for Dad's voicemail and change the wallpaper background.
-You like to know everything, so the question "Why?" is asked dozens of times a day. But we'd rather you be interested in learning than lazy.
-Mommy likes to scratch your back and you request this multiple times a day. You want mommy to "open it" meaning to lift up your shirt.
-Kinley Rae adores you. You are an endless source of entertainment for her. On the way home from church last week, you were holding her hand and told us, "Kinley is my best friend." We pray you will always find friendship and love with your sister.

Aww, so sweet! Just got a tear in my eye reading about his "best friend." I totally agree with his love of dancing. I'll never forget how much fun he had at Chelsea and Alex's reception and how he was upset when he had to leave! What a terrific little guy you have! Love you all, Sheri
